In very wintry conditions on Friday evening Meghan qualified in first position in her heat in 58.14. She followed this up with another solid run on saturday to win her semi final in 58.4 only to find out afterwards she had been disqualified for a hurdle infringement. A protest was made by her team using video evidence but this was found to be 'inconclusive'. Despite managing to find a 'conclusive' photograph and a second appeal being made the following day the officials were within their rights to not look at any further evidence and so the disqualification stood.
Meghan was unable to retain her BUCS title for the fourth year but went on with her team to win gold medals in both the 4x100m and 4x400m relay in which they broke the Championship Record by 5 seconds!
